Tasmania is not Transylvania – And Devils outmatch Vampires – A synopsis
26. Januar 2008 von thomasWelcome from Hobart in Tasmania. When we have been to Tasmania the first time, most of the people at home asked us questions about Dracula after our return. This is not quite right. That’s why I present you this synopsis*:
1. Transylvania is located in Rumania in Europe, Tasmania is an island below Australia.
2. Transylvania is a very dangerous place for travellers. There are robbers, strange old women, wolves and bats. Well, Tasmania is a former colony for convicts. But today most of them should be rehabilitated. At least I hope so.
3. In Transylvania the favourite diet is garlic. In Tasmania … well, everything what they can cook to rags.
4. In Transylvania live Vampires, like Count Dracula. But his Teeth are nothing compared with the jaws of the Tasmanian Devil. He could cut Draculas bones through with one bit.
I hope this strictly scientifical comparison expanded your intellectual horizon and you yearn for more news from Transyl uhm, Tasmania.
*This article bases in a large part on facts from documetaries like “Dracula’s Daughter”, “Brides of Dracula” or “Zoltan, Hound of Dracula”.
