Mummy, the Kangaroo makes funny faces at me!
22. Januar 2008 von thomasIt happened. We are becoming accustomed and start to spend more and more time with hanging around (shitting and giggling as I learned) then with hiking. A last rebellion against the laziness was our excursion to the Deep Creek Conservation Park.
There we first ascertained that our spacious tent is water-proof. Not idiot-proof, anyway.
Although this park is only one hour away from Adelaide, it was almost deserted. It seems like it’s still not discovered. That’s why we could call the Western Grey Kangaroos for our own entertainment.
As well as the gorgeous rugged coastline.
Or both in one.
The kangaroos are pretty trusting. They let you come close to them up to 10 meters. Additionally some of them don’t take their untamed wildlife duties seriously. I mean, this kind of behaviour (see picture below) is not suitable for a wild kangaroo, is it? I reported this one to the park administration. In my opinion this misbehaviour casts a poor light on the whole park. Sadly I couldn’t get it’s ID, because it ran away.
